'Everybody' at Crytek want to make Timesplitters 4

Saw this article this morning. It's nothing concrete... There's no 'yes' it will happen... It's mostly teasing..... But pleaseeeeeeee i wants it!

I heard that crytek was loosing money fast and they were folding.

I may well be wrong. Let's hope this happens though a next gen time splitters would be class

Yep Crytek is loosing money. Its a shame really. Maybe if they did a new Timesplitter game, it might save them. Come on Microsoft help them out a little.

A new time splitters would be great, hopefully crytek manage to survive they have made some great games

I'd like to think I would love a new Timesplitters. In reality I don't know what they could do now to make it special in a FPS-saturated market...

Yup I heard they were struggling, maybe by setting room ours about this again they are hoping it is what could save them?

I don't need it to be different or special, I want more classic Timesplitters goodness. It was a brilliant. Game and it think if they stuck to the old platform it would brilliant!

A new timesplitters would be interesting but I'm sort of with Waggles. I'm not sure how they would make it shift enough copies to do it justice.

The franchise means a lot to many of us, but does the name still hold weight with the majority of players these days?? I'm not sure. We all know how hard it is to sell anything that ain't Cod or Battlefield these days....

Having said that, i would love this to happen. Just not sure it would be enough to save Crytek

The petition for the HD collection of 1, 2 and 3 got 81,664 signatures, showing there is still an interest out there. They could start with the release of the HD collection and take it from there. This could inspire the younger gamers who missed it first time to feel the bug for it. I think I'm in the land of wishful thinking but I reallyyyyy want this to happen!

I'm with ya on that front Minks. Fucking gamers don't know what's good for em though do they?!

Haha. Think we are just to spoilt for choice these days, funny that we moan about remakes etc... apart from when the games we really want remaking aren't done HAHA

I know what you're saying, but as I haven't played the game in years and have played MANY FPS games in between, I just wonder how much of that original great gameplay will have stood the test of time and how much will have been copied and then superseded by more recent games. I think if they stuck to the old formula it would feel dated and perhaps quite clunky, and I don't think it'd sell very well.

I could be wrong of course, only by going back and playing them could I be sure of what I'm saying. I'm tempted now actually...

Having said all this, a release of a HD collection would probably get me to open my wallet anyway even if just for rose-tinted nostalgia!

It's still cool. It's just not outstanding anymore......

i for one would like a HD collection as i've never played a timesplitters game before so n idea why everyone is clammering for it xD,but seems like crytek uk are done now which is sad that the biggest(and maybe only) developer in nottingham is dead   

There is still a chance someone injects money into them, it's not over yet! (Trying to be optimistic for once haha)

haha nope i think there dead and gone now, ryse 2 has been canned and a very high up(dont remember his position) has quit so that dont sound good so im afraid minks i believe they are done sadly,was looking forward to more crysis and the new homefront aswell

I read that there may be a chance if financial support because of home front 2. Until they close I remain hopeful and even if they do someone could buy the rights etc too it

probably push homefront 2 to one of the other crytek studios i reckon
