Do you wanna see My Nintendo?

I Most certainly do! If anything, I'm so curious about what all the fuss is about.

In their recent investors meeting, Nintendo unveiled their plans (well, some of them) for their new unified account system MyNintendo.

The new system will aim to unify all the consoles via CLOUD, sharing data between them and much more, like smartphones, tablet devices, etc.
A friend system will be available and shared between all decvices, in order to streamline the whole process.
Apparently it's possible to login through most of the available social networks, including Miiverse and NintendoID.

It will be possible to buy add on contents et-similia directly on the site and then send the input to our nintendo 3ds or WiiU to download such add on in background, when we are away.

The new accounts will provide a point based reward system. Two types of points are currently avialble: Gold and Platinum, with... Platinum being the least valuable one?
It's Nintendo... What do you expect, they love to confuse our ideas.

Platinum Points will be awarded by logging in nintendo apps, the e-shop, various games, sites, etc. and will go towards the purchase of wallpapers, themes and generally decorative things, as well as in-game goods.

Gold Points will be received by buying digital contents and games (not confirmed if they're awarded for eventual physical purchases as well) and can be used towards discounts on software purchases.

Why Gold before platinum? Big mistery...

Even if it's good to see Nintendo finally acknowledging they need to step it up to Sony and Microsoft, it's also kind of disappointing to notice how there's still no trace of a whatsoever achievement system.

Finger crossed, everything will work for the best!

What do you think of the new account system?
