The Games Den 2015 Games Challenge

Basically, who can complete the most games before the year's end (obviously this would have been better in January, but don't think I was here then. The 2016 one, if there's enough interest, can start then). This challenge will only count for games started on, or after, the 10th of August 2015 (ie: today).

Can be console, PC or mobile. Can be a game you have completed before, but it must be started a fresh. Completing the game means finishing the main story (etc). You do not have to 100% it. If you complete a game multiple times, it still only counts as one game.

Post which game you have played, platform, and an approximation of how long it took. Also give us a little description of how you enjoyed it and if would you recommend it to others.

I assume even a run through of a beat em up counts as a completion? I noticed you included Killer instinct in your completions list yesterday.... Just checking

For that I completed the Story Mode with all the characters. Technically doing it once with one character counts, but I'd feel cheap putting that down.

Yeah. Fair play. Just thought I'd mention it so nobody has to ask down the line. Good stuff.

It's the same with games collections like Rare Replay and the Borderlands Handsome Collection - each individual game counts separately.

Considering each game is taking me 5 times longer than it should because I'm writing guides for them, I shouldn't be hard to beat

I'd be up for this, I'm clearing up my backlog at the moment. But I'll still only count my completion as 100% as that's how I see them. Usually it only takes one playthrough anyway!

Also not allowing games already started rules me out as truly epic backlog of games with less than 20%gamerscore many less than 10%

You can play the game from the start Mr Hammer and it will count. I need to do that with all my backlog as it's been that long since I started most of them, I forgot what's going on!

I like the format. It's a nice informal way to get through some campaigns, instead of trying to max everything out. Will be a nice change.

That's why it's not linked to gamerscore, it means that any game can qualify as long as you play it from the start.

Nice idea mate, it might even encourage me to get around to playing through some campaigns on some games I've hardly started (Halo MCC etc).

One suggestion for playing any games already started, is to post up in your thread that you are restarting said games.

Shame we didn't start this a few weeks ago when I replayed 13 games for my new profile. Lollerz!

Nice idea but not my cup of tea as I don't like speed running games even though I do play for completion.

You don't have to speed run them mate to be fair. I think the whole point of this format ia that you can be as competitive or casual as you like with this. Am I right?

Just finished Beyond Eyes, pretty enjoyable but very slow

I'll be playing through that tonight. Been waiting for that game for months. I would have already played it, but some fucker beat me to requesting the TA walkthrough for it so I'm saving it to test his walkthrough with instead.

Was always a huge fan of Pro-Am, Super Offroad and all them. Still love them. Cobra Triangle is basically the same, but in a boat and with objectives.
