Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious is a standalone DLC expansion for Turn 10 and Playground Games racer that will tie-in with Universal Pictures popular movie series featuring fast cars, bikini-clad ladies and musclebound meatheads.

The expansion is set prior to the events of Furious 7, the latest instalment in the movie franchise due for release in cinemas in 3rd April, and will be available ahead of the film's release date. What's more, it'll be completely free to download until 10th April as promotion for the movie and doesn't require a copy of Forza Horizon 2 to play.

"We've been talking with the folks at Turn 10 for a number of years and have always wanted to work together," said Bill Kispert, Universal's Executive VP of Digital Licensing. "It was a matter of schedules, capacity and a film coming together at the right time. It finally has, and we're excited to collaborate with Turn 10."

Forza Horizon Presents Fast & Furious sees you playing as a driver in France who must source a number of vehicles for Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges' character, Tej Parker. These include iconic rides like the classic 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Vin Diesel's character Dominic Toretto. The 1998 Toyota Supra, 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, 2012 Nissan GT-R, 1970 Plymouth Cuda, 2013 Jeep Wrangler, 2014 Maserati Ghibli S and 2015 Dodge Charger will also feature.

"It's kind of been a grand experiment," said Hartman. "I hope what we're doing here is a model for what we do in the future. It's been a great relationship, and I don't want to end it after this, so we'll see what's possible in the future."

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious will be available from 27th March for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and will be free to download until 10th April, after which time it'll cost $9.99/£7.99.

Available free for a couple of weeks upon launch, Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious is a standalone movie tie-in for the upcoming Furious 7 that will enable you to get behind the wheel of some of the series' most iconic cars. In this new behind the scenes video, you can get an inside look at some of the Furious 7 cars included in the expansion.

The trailer also highlights how each of the vehicles were picked for the Fast & Furious films, with commentary from the film series veteran Car Coordinator Dennis McCarthy, who discusses how each car in the movie is built and designed to "reflect the excitement of the characters in the series".

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious will offer an open-world and a bunch of new cars from the movies, and will be available to download for Xbox One and Xbox 360 as a standalone expansion from 27th March 2015. It'll be available free until 10th April.
