XBLA Delistings

Post  KENT HAMMER on Mon Jan 05, 2015 11:56 am

The holiday season was not entirely filled with festive cheer. We already knew about the pending delisting of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins and the title disappeared on December 31st.

Unfortunately, it was accompanied by five others that we didn't know about. Battle: Los Angeles, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, UNO, UNO Rush and WRC Powerslide have all been removed from the Xbox LIVE Games Store. We're assuming that these delistings are all for licensing reasons, but we don't have confirmation of this as usual.

From the looks of the titles being de-listed it certainly looks like the licences have run out, its always a shame to see games removed because a company no longer has the rights to the content. I have never understood why licence holders only allow games to be available while the company holds the licence.

You would think it would make more sense that games that are already out would be left and the developers that lose them just cant make new content or games with that brand

Scott Pilgrim is such a brilliant game, it is a shame to see it go. I wonder if the DLC has been delisted too... Good job I picked it all up!! Wink
