Xbox Live Games With Gold Gave Subscribers Over $580 Worth of Games in 2014

Post  KENT HAMMER on Mon Dec 15, 2014 2:02 pm

This year has been a rather fruitful one for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with Microsoft's Xbox Live Games with Gold programme giving away $584.67 worth of games for your annual subscription fee, which lest we forget, also enables you to play online and stuff.

While PlayStation Plus gave players $1349.29 in titles, that figure also takes into account PS Vita titles, making it essentially three consoles - PS4, PS3, PS Vita - versus two - Xbox One and Xbox 360. Also, Games with Gold didn't come to Xbox One until June, so there's that to factor in too.

With your $60 Xbox Live Gold membership, you could bag 34 games, including $9.99 titles like Halo: Spartan Assault and Episode One of Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief, to more expensive games like Darksiders II, which is listed at $39.99. The offerings also averaged an overall Metacritic average of 78.3, meaning a fairly decent standard.

SSX won't be up til tomorrow. Changes on the 16th I do believe.

Nice to read through the list. I'd forgotten quite how many Xbox One games I have queued up ready for when I eventually get my console. I won't need to actually buy any games for ages. Razz
