EA Access gets updates including addition of NFS: Rivals

Post  Tenlo on Wed Sep 03, 2014 8:04 am

So EA have announced an upcoming update for EA Access plus the addition of Need for Speed: Rivals to the Vault. Interestingly EA have announced that once a game joins the Vault, it remains there. Wth need for Speed being added I'm starting to get tempted by this now.

New Countries Receiving Access

Originally at launch the only countries where EA Access was available were Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States. Later this month, however, 19 more countries will be able to sign up for the service, including: Brazil, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Chile, Colombia, Portugal, Turkey, South Africa, UAE, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Greece.

Need for Speed Rivals Enters the Vault

At some point in the coming weeks, Need for Speed Rivals will be added to the Vault. Rivals will join Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2 which are already available in the Vault. Just like the other games, Rivals will be completely free to download for members, and will be available anytime you want, for however long you want, just as long as you remain a member of the service.

FIFA 15 and NHL 15 Game Trials Coming Soon

One benefit of having EA Access is that members are able to download timed trials for different games, five days before their official release. Trials for both FIFA 15 and NHL 15 will become available in September, with NHL's trial set to be available this Thursday. Both of these games will have six hour trials, and any progression made or Achievements earned will be transferred over to the real game if you choose to purchase it. The first game trial to be offered for the service was for Madden NFL 15, and EA reported that gamers put in a total of 245,000 hours into the trial alone before the game was released.

Great news
I am finding EA access great value so far, although I did fill in a survey suggesting they could improve on the membership discount of 10% because games are still cheaper in shops than the price of digital even after the discount.
Looking forward to trying the full NHL game for a few hours too, although I won't get it straight away because of same release week as destiny.

not a fan of having an origin account which is mandatory

but am being tempted to access

will plump for it if they start getting more non ea spurts titles as I am not a fan of those

like the fact that if what tenners says happens, then once a game is on it it stays on it

that means no rush to join

I am with you big e if the titles get better then maybe something worth looking at.

This is a step towards us having no physical titles which I for one am not a massive fan of Sad
