Yup, being this guy. Dusting off this old book and opening it back up, because I finished ME3 for my fifth time, and I have never had anyone to talk to about it. Late to the party but I dont care, this will always be my favourite game series.

Anywho.......yeah......I am still heart broken to this day when ever I replay the game. I realize the majority of the opinions on the ending are negative, and I cant disagree. Im not mad though....not at all, just severely saddened and disappointed. At the time, I nearly was in tears, and now I just still dread those final moments. I just wanted to know peoples thoughts on the ending in general, and as to why they think it was good or bad?

Aside from those negative thoughts! What were your guys favorite moments and characters and whatnot?!

I love this series to no end, I would love to share my love with others!
Have an amazing night, and stay awesome!

I absolutely love this game and I've completed it several times with both male and female Shepards, just can't get enough of this series. I wasn't overly happy with the original ending but was pleased with the updated ending as I thought it gave more detail on the ending and the out comes of all the characters. The game for me was enjoyable from start to finish and I never wanted to put it down which led to me nearly being late for work as I was so engrossed in it.
My favourite characters have to be Wrex, Grunt, Garrus and Mordin.
One of my favourite moments of ME3 has to be during the Citadel DLC where Shepard and Liara are waiting for a transport ship only to find it full of mercenaries pinning you down, then out of no where Wrex jumps out of a window on to the ship and cripples it takes out the mercs and saves your life. One of my other favourite moments has to be using the Thresher Maw to take down a Reaper and I'm still amazed everytime I see it.

I'm really looking forward to the next Mass Effect, a little dissapointed to hear it will have very little if not anything to do with Shepard but am looking forward to perhaps playing as another race and exploring further from the Galaxy.

The Citadel DLC is my favourite piece of gaming anything. That final moment in that DLC made me cry because it was so BitterSweet.

Overall I love Mass Effect 3, but I just dont like how they handled an ending. I dont like the fact that they made Shepard play God and chose the fate of the Galaxy. The entirety of the Mass Effect games are based on your relationships, and those final moments abandoned them all together. Instead of giving us an arbitrary A,B,C,D choice, I would have settled for one last giant set piece, battling along side everyone I ever made acquaintanceships with. I dont really care if my previous choices had lend itself to that moment, but I feel like it would have been a powerful moment seeing the last stand with you at the helm. In fact, I feel like if they would have pulled another Mass Effect 2 ending moment, and had you chose who played what role, but only on a much larger scale, would have been even better. Even so, what we got felt like a slap to the face as we abandoned our allies to play god.

I love the Mass Effect series, I think that Liara, Garrus, Mordin, and Tali are my favourite by far. Then again, everyone is great (excluding two people in particular), and I love them all. I loved just wandering around the ship or citadel and talking to everyone.

I agree that the end would of been better if it was one big fight rather than choices, plus I hated that kid at the end.

I dont know why the game thought I cared about that kid at all, its harsh to say, but I didnt. Its not my fault he died.

Another big fan here. I played trough the first game laods of time but only played 2 and 3 a couple of times properly, as I play less by myself since I got LIVE.

I felt a bit meh and the end of three, though I also felt a bit meh at the start of two though. I thought it was a bit too "out there" the way they bring you after the opening scene. Two had some great moments. Nothing beats bringing Legion to the Quarian floatilla, which I did the second time around (extra time it took only cost me half my crew getting turned to grey mush too Laughing )

The New expanded ending was way better. It gave good resolution to most of the questions people were left with and I liked the added option of being able to shoot the star child in the face. Still was really crappy that after all your decisions and struggling during the trilogy in the end you still have three basic options completely unrelated to most of what you've been doing up to that point rather than an end that reflects that journey, which was what they promised in all the PR hype.

I LOVE the multiplayer in Mass Effect-3 and Loved the Citadel DLC, as they had a lot of multiplayer jokes when you listen in on peoples conversations in the promenade. Lot's of great moments in three too as Kev said Treasher Maw Vs Reaper. Meeting Captain Kirrahe again and getting the Scorpion pistol off him. the whole Quariaian/Geth Story was so good. To meet Tali again, as she was my love interest in Two and all the unique dialogue that resulted was really well done. Also nice to see my diplomatic handling of the Quariaian/Geth situation in the second game paid off big time when it reached crunch time in the third. Shadow broker DLC with Liara was also amazing, would like to play through the game with her as my love interest the whole time to see what extra bits there are.

In the next Mass Effect game, I want to see them delve more into the other species we didnt get to go into as well, like the Hanar. Besides that, i trust bioware, I dont want to raise my expectations because I trust what they do 9 times out of 10.

I love Tali and she was my first romance the very first time I went through, but Liara is my favourite by far. There is a moment at the end of the third game where she choses to share her memory with you, and it is the sweetest and most touching thing. My favourite moment however is the gigantic party at the end of the Citadel DLC; even though the entire DLC was beyond fantastic.

See for me I can barely go back and play the first Mass Effect. I really dont like the Mako missions, and the combat is underwhelming for me. Although the conversation system is still nicely put together, and some of the side missions and enviroments are astounding, I didnt get gripped by the first one's story. Although I still feel like it is completely nessicary to play through the first one again if you want to replay the others. That sense of an overarching story is still amazing, and seeing the little details you make game to game is pretty fantastic.

Spent hours in my first play through driving around every single planet in the Mako finding all the minerals etc... I recall the beautiful vistas and different environments the planets had, which were missing with the scanning from orbit on the others. It did get tedious though after a while and doing it again with another play through was not gonna happen. Do remember finding a cool giant sphere though which had some cryptic message about cavemen.
