You lot have no fucking idea about gaming to come up with a response like that.  Razz
Do you have any idea what Half Life (  I love you ) did for gaming. It was the pivotal moment. On the same parralel as what Nirvana was to music. EPIC.

Now boys , go stand in the corner and write out 100 times, " Half life is the game for me".

lots of love lighty.  Wink

I'm with lighty, I remember being home from university for Christmas and spending the entire break playing half life, it was so different from anything else it blew me away, one of the best games ever made and a complete game changer for first person shooters

I like Half Life, don't get me wrong.

But L4D is the game I go back to out of the two, mainly because it's such a great co-op game!

the original half life was a fantastic moment in gaming

I bought it day one on spec and watching the intro into the black mesa compound was mesmerising

I loved hl2 and the episodes and would join lighty in the pant messing stakes if hl3 was true

Loved the first Half life, as I'd not played Halo at the time. Was the first FPS that seemed to have a proper story and every so often you'd come across a character that didn't want to kill you. I also loved its expansions Opposing Force and Blue Shift.

Half Life 2 was ok but didn't impress me hugely and I only played through it once. So I'm not feverishly crazy about there being a Half Life 3. Left for dead 2 plays fine so don't need another one of those either.

Evolve now that looks interesting.

on early games that I completed I tend to judge a classic by if I have played it thru more than once

system shock 2 and half life one fall into the classic cat for me

beaten them 3 times each

must play them again soon lol
