Black tusk job advert hints at smartglass support for new Gears game
A recent advertisement by the guys at black tusk studios has hinted that the new game will have smartglass support. Looks like black tusk are trying to get all aspects of the new system used.
Lets hope that it is better than the last game that lost its appeal quite quickly
Black Tusk has posted a series of job adverts for its upcoming Gears of War sequel.
According to the job ads, the new Gears of War developer is hoping to "shatter expectations" and create an "industry-leading multiplayer experience" on Xbox One.
"Our objective is to forge the future of the IP and push the limits of Microsoft's entertainment platforms and devices," reads an ad for a lead multiplayer level designer.
Other job ads hint at SmartGlass second-screen support and integration between consoles, web and mobiles.
Candidates for a senior online services engineer role, for example, must "be passionate about owning a reliable high-traffic services to support console and multi-screen end points".
Microsoft purchased the rights to the Gears of War series earlier this year.
Former Epic Games director Rod Fergusson will oversee development of the franchise at Black Tusk's Vancouver studio.
Microsoft previously said that Gears of War needs to be reimagined for the Xbox One, admitting that the franchise "did kind of run its course" on the Xbox 360.

Smartglass is just extra shit we never need.
A map in Forza horizon, extra annoying shit in Dead Rising 3.
Who cares!

Completely agree! Might have been better trying to get a console that can run all the new games at 1080p and has a decent interface without bugs instead of all this kinect/smartglass nonsense!

if you've got time to look at another screen while playing a game, that game isn't good enough. you should be totally immersed in a game not looking a another screen all the time.
